Caturday Saturday...Whole Paws® Style Taste Test #WholeFoodsPets

We are back, the feline epicureans, having had to wait 2 whole weeks to be able to indulge ourselves in dining on the new Whole Paws® box of delights!

We were given the opportunity to talk about (and eat!) this new line of pet food courtesy of BlogPaws Pet Blogger Network  and Whole Foods Market®.

As we talked about in our first post about the Whole Foods Market® new line of Grain Free pet foods, Teri told you that she considers the quality of the food we eat as important as the quality of the food she eats! That's why she was excited to share the info on Whole Paws® Pet Foods.

But she also knows that just because something is good for us, we may turn our noses up at what's being served for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

So it was with some trepidation that she opened up the first can... but as we have some foster kitties here right now, there are 9 of us who get to join in on this taste testing of the new Whole Paws® cat food!

We had a choice of four different canned foods to choose from! Two were in 5.5 ounce cans and were of the shredded varieties, which we often just lick the gravy off and leave the 'shreds'... so Teri was very interested to see what we thought of the Whole Paws® Grain Free Shredded Salmon and Chicken Dinner in Gravy and the Whole Paws® Grain Free Shredded Chicken Dinner in Gravy.

Kely was offered the Whole Paws® Grain Free Turkey, Chicken & Giblets Dinner first.

Umm, she sniffed and walked away. It was still on the plate when Teri got home from work...

Then Sammy got to try the Whole Paws® Grain Free Beef & Chicken Dinner and he said Yummy in my Tummy! He cleaned the plate!

Can you hear the slurping sounds in this video??

So, on to the next course... and Disco and Coco repurrted that it was tasty and well worth waiing for! They got to share a cab of the Whole Paws® Grain Free Turkey, Chicken and Giblets Dinner, and unlike Kely, they cleaned up their servings!

As you can see, there were 3 plates down, but Brighton thought Teri was going to trim his nails or something because he led her on a wild goose chase around the house and wouldn't settle down to eat!

Then Spot and Dot dined on the Whole Paws® Grain Free Shredded Salmon & Chicken Dinner in Gravy. Spot must have thought the same thing as Brighton and made herself scarce, but Dot loved the shreds and the gravy, cleaning up the plate, something they don't usually do with the shredded varieties of cat food Teri has offered them before!

All the Whole Paws® pet food line meets all of Whole Foods Market's strict quality standards. And it's the first private store brand to have both a dry and wet dog food that's grain free, and there are no artificial flavorings, no artificial preservatives, no animal by-products, and no corn or soy.

As we don't get dry kibble very often and then only as a treat, Teri was pretty sure we'd go for the Whole Paws® Indoor Formula Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe dry food!

The bag says it's a Natural cat food with added vitamins and minerals, with no wheat, corn or soy and no meat by-products and has nutrient rich ingredients.

We all thoroughly enjoyed crunching our way through a dish of this kibble, but only Disco consented to having his photo taken while devouring the food!

And as we promised, we want to list the ingredients of the new Whole Paws® product line of cat food, so here is a list, right off the bag:

And the next time your servants are shopping at Whole Foods Market®, we urge you to remind them to pick up some Whole Paws® food for you, too!

  1. That food looks and sounds delicious. I only eat shreds or small chunks in gravy. I don't like pate at all.

  5. This is a great report! I never thought to comment on the ingredients and breakdown. I don’t usually eat kibble either so it was a real treat. I notice the cans are cheaper than some Fancy Feast. What I don’t understand is why Whole Foods Market doesn’t have this food on their website.

Your review was amazing! I wish we had a store near us so that our cats could give it a try.
