  4. *scene*::

    The house is dark, it's so late, it's early. All are asleep, save one. Enter the dining room, the only light just visible is the ghastly garish glare from the old CRT screen.

    It is not entirely quiet, a small strange noise is heard intermittently. It's the tiny ticking of a claw on the keyboard and the rattling of the desktop detritus. The cause of the rattling is emanating from the sole sentient occupant on the desk. A cat.

    Her whiskers are vibrating vigorously and her stare is intent on the screen in front of her. Her long usually animated tail is lying flat out behind her motionless. Her claw ticks on a single key. If it were still visible, you would see the letter D. Quite a groove has been worn into it by now.
    *tap*.
    *tap*tap*tap*...
    *tap*.
    *tap*tap*tap*...

    A pearl of moisture is barely visible suspended from her lovely whisker humps. It too is vibrating gently, in it is reflected the inverse image of what holds her luminous eyed gaze. She is rapt.

    She will eventually be found in the morning, That Woman will come in and find her curled up sleeping, dreaming, with her head resting delicately on the keyboard. Her small body gently rising and falling in deep sleep.

    *end scene*

    We can only imagine what occupies the dreams of cats. Though for this particular gloriously mature feline, my moneys on the one featuring a Handsome Nekkid Mancat in naught but his charming collar and scrawled across the wall of their chamber are the words...

    Do.

    Not.

    Disturb.

    Is it any wonder that the word verification is 'bitings'? (no, I didn't make that up, it really is!)

    xoxo
