ManCat Monday--Disco's Diet
Simply Sunday...
Teri had a 'productive' weekend...which means we didn't get to visit any of our friends once again! We did get in some Cat TV though, in between napping...
The plants she planted last week survived her ignoring them all week and sprung back to life when she watered them yesterday. Ps: that's not catnip but mint for something Teri likes called Mojitos).

Another Mancat, Wordy, Thankful, Fashion Caturday!
MeWowZa (Teri says she is thinking of getting purrsonalized license plates that say that)...Disco is down to 15# on the nose (or butt, hahameow).
Yep, since February 27th, Disco has lost a total of 1# 3 ounces now! We be furry hapurry about that, and the fact that we no longer have to starve just cuz he's on a diet...Thanks to Young Again Zero Carb!
We think by the time June is here, Disco will be pretty buff if he keeps shedding those ounces...
And for a belated Whisker Hump Wednesday...Here's Sammy curvacious Humps (in an old photo before he had to have a full mouth extraction due to resorptive lesion dental disease...).
And for a Fun, Springtime Fashion Statement, here's Coco, sporting her cute new Daisy Harness ...something she could wear at BlogPaws if she is the lucky cat who gets to go with Teri in June!
On an 'Oh Noes' note, the perfect home that Teri picked out for Hero ended up not being able to adopt him cuz their landlord changed their mind about letting them have a cat...Here' what Emily and Daniel sadly wrote to Teri:
Hi Teri,
(they also have a funny habit of putting toys on their food plate when they are done eating, hahameow!)
So, that catches you up to today...let's hope we have some time this weekend to visit you all, too...we keep trying to catch up, but our cat naps must get in the way of progress...or is that Teri's sleeping in that does it?

Happy Easter Egg Hunting Day!
Oh noes...it's almost Mancat Monday and we didn't do an Easter post! Hope everyone's day was filled with Catnip Jelly Beans, hahameow!

Thankful Thursday...If just one person learns from this post, we will be Thankful...
All parts of the lily plant (leaves, petals, bulbs, even the pollen!) are considered toxic to cats and consuming even small amounts can be life threatening. Within a few hours of ingestion of the lily plant, a cat may vomit, become lethargic or develop a lack of appetite. These signs continue and worsen as kidney damage progresses. Without prompt and proper treatment by a veterinarian, the cat may develop kidney failure in 36 to 72 hours.
I continue to be surprised at the number of people who do not know that the Easter Lily is one of the most toxic plants to cats, and how the plants are not labeled with warnings!
This time of year, every grocery store has huge displays of Easter candy, baskets, egg decorating kits and yes, Easter Lilies...all ready to be put in the homes of unsuspecting cat owners!
There are many nice alternatives to having lilies in the house (most lilies are toxic to cats, but not seen inside homes as often). Orchids, Easter cactus and violets are options, as are lovely artificial silk lilies.

Whisker Hump Wednesday (and Disco's diet update)
Ya'll probably know who's Humps these are, hahameow! Maybe we should call them Whiskerless Humps!
Disco actually does have whiskers, but they are very short and curled, kinda like a baby's eyelashes
.
And since we missed another ManCat Monday--Disco's Diet update, we are purroud to announce that Disco weighed in on Monday at 15# 5 ounces! Down 4 ounces this week!! Down 14 oz since beginning the Zero Carb food. We are happurry about that, and one thing that Teri really likes about feeding the Young Again Zero Carb dry food, is that she can leave down 'free choice'.
Us kitties spend most of our time in the basement watching Cat TV or burrowed in our sleepin' bag, so we have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get a snack, but that's actually good exercise to burn off a few calories anyway, hahameow.
We are still eating some raw RadCat, and some Nulo and Life's Abundance Instictive canned, too (TomTom gets our leftovers) and Teri thinks Coco's slimmed down a bit too (she kinda needed to as she gained a pound since she was spayed a year ago...and Sammy? Well, he chunked up from just over 6# to just under 9# since he was neutered, so he is dieting, too...but at least with Young Again's Zero Carb kibble, it doesn't really seem like a diet
We so much liked this Infographic that we are posting it again (just so you know, Disco's caloric needs for him to lose weight are ~ 195kcals)
