Simply Sunday...

Teri had a 'productive' weekend...which means we didn't get to visit any of our friends once again! We did get in some Cat TV though, in between napping...

She washed about half the windows in our house and shampooed the carpets in her our bedroom, and the hallway and stairs--she put us in the basement overnight so we wouldn't walk on the wet carpets and get chemicals on our paws (then she disappeared so we guess she went over to her man friends house...Yep, he fixed her a tasty Polish meal, too--Lemon Soup, Perogi, Cucumber Salad, Mushrooms in Cream and Sauerkraut...

The plants she planted last week survived her ignoring them all week and sprung back to life when she watered them yesterday. Ps: that's not catnip but mint for something Teri likes called Mojitos).

And here's some pix of our fake flowers...they look pretty healthy, too, don't they?! That's our little Piskie from Piskie World in Cornwall, hahameow!

We hope all furriends had a great weekend, too...We are hope that Prancer Pie is feeling better now and are glad Auntie Judi Bug has cat bloggy friends surrounding her, too....

Simply Sunday Evening...

Well, it was another sunny day today...TomTom napped in a pile of leaves in our garden...

Disco, Brighton and Coco enjoyed lounging on their new Hammicks...

Teri went out walking for an hour, bbq'd a steak for dinner and watched a funny movie, Romance & Cigarettes...

And just for a giggle, here's a little movie of Brighton enjoying the TV after the movie ended, hahameow!

Simply Sunday Evening...

We had a very chillaxin' weekend, how about you? We sleep in our burrow bed or right on top of the heating pad no matter the season...and no pix of this, but we all got baths this weekend, too.

We got to watch birdies and squirrels...

and we even spied a mouse or vole coming out of it's vole hole to grab some seed! Biggify the photo to see if you can spy it, too!

Here's a 'live action' video for your viewing enjoyment!

We don't know how to use the camera, but if we did, you would also see a video of Teri that would make you laff and laff! She had to get up on an extention ladder to spray wasp killer on a nest in our eaves. She went online and read that the best time to nuke their nest was when they were sleepy and slow at dawn! So she set the alarm for 6am on Saturday and put on a raincoat, cinched tight the hood, put on rubber gloves and tucked her pant cuffs into her socks (that's that laffin and laffin part) and climbed up about 10 feet and sprayed the foam all over the nest. Then she ran back inside and watched the the dead wasps fall from the nest. Then she waited a while. sprayed again and then knocked the nest down with a long pole. We think she was very brave, protecting us and the universe from those stingers!
The new Ant Proof Bowl is working 100% and since it's kind of a 'Dog Size' bowl, Teri put a smaller stainless steel bowl in the middle and that works well and is easy to clean and doesn't harbor bacteria like plastic can.

Here's Mama Katz, who shows up every few days to grab a bite to eat

And courtesy of Carolyn, over at The Happy Litterbox, we are 'test driving' a new product, Smart Scoop. We have tried the Littermaid in the past and Teri found it too cumbersome, not easy to clean and not worth the expense. But she wanted to try this new product to see if it's simpler to clean and if the box was large enough. We'll give you an evaluation next week!

We got a nice update on Kiki today, too! She is not wanting to share prime lap space or the humans bed yet, but silly young Cheddar doesn't hold that against her, hahameow. He sleeps on the cat perch at the end of the bed and lets Kiki be the boss of lap space, and he'll find a spot on a lap but not too close...

And Colby doesn't seem to miss his brudder, and the mature Punky is happier without two rambunctious kittens in the house, but hasn't warmed up to Colby yet. No hissing or standoffs, just no mutual grooming or play yet...but it often takes a while for older kitties to befriend a silly kitten! Punky was used to living with a senior girl Cornish Rex and he loved her dearly. We hope he decides a boy buddy is ok, too...

And last but not least...Disco is now under 15#...14# 14 oz!! In celebration of that, he had a 'Day at the Spa' today and got a 'haircut and a shave' in preparation for meeting his admiring fans at BlogPaws in a few weeks!

Simply Sunday Morning

Now that there are just a few days til Christmas, we wanted to post all our merriest photos...Enjoy!

This is Furrydance Gweek (Kiki) nibbling on what mewmie calls "Our Xmas Tree" this year. She said she got it, just for us but we really like the other green thing she got us best (A Hepper Pod!)

Simply Sunday Morning

Mewmie says she's envious of all the naptime we kitties get..

We have a maid to clean our house, our bathroom and make our beds; we have gourmet chefs going to great lengths to please our palates and we have personal hairdressers to keep us well-coiffed and we don't have to do much except purr to make our maid happy.

This sweet snuggly photo is of the Campbell cats, Pasha, Percy and Brinkley in their favorite nap spot, or maybe it ties with in front of the fire...

You can tell this isn't one of my kitties, but they might do something just like this. What about your kitties?

Simply Sunday Morning

Teri,

Just a Nani pilling update...Gone are pill pockets and hiding in food. My guy at work, Rob, told me and demonstrated in my office getting on top of Nani as he does his cat he has to give shot to, and holding her legs down so she can't scratch me up. I'm done in less than 5 seconds now. Somebody stop me!!!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sometimes I go onto another kitties blog and see a photo that makes me say, "Why, my cats do that, too!" and today I am going to post some photos of my cats doing stuff your cats do, MOL

Ps: Kittens doing very well, everyone gained 15 grams in the past 24 hrs, even tiny Daisy (yes, I picked the name Daisy in honor of little Daisy who went to the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday). This little Daisy will live for the little Daisy who couldn't, I just have to feel that way and hope!

My petsitters were over on Saturday and we tossed around names for the boys, and I should have written the final decisions down, because this morning I can't remember! But I think I will pick again, and name the little orange (red mackerel tabby) boy Buttercup, because that flower is so small. Then the big orange (ditto) boy is Dandelion, cuz he's king of the jungle and growing like a weed, MOL and the brown mackerel tabby and white boy is Clover, cuz he's sweet and has two colors, like a clover blossom.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

This handsome cat is Furrydance Furlinghetti. He lives close by with another Furrydance kitty, Lola. He is a wild man, Lola is a proper princess.

Furli does skateboard tricks--running and banking off the walls. Lola is quiet, Furli is loud. It's nice to have one of each, mol!

He has 2 little dots right on his nose right where the nares are :) and two black patches on his front legs, right in the same spot
and a goatee, just like the beatnik poet, Ferlinghetti!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

It's Sunday but no sun in sight, so us cats are all napping under the blankets on the bed..

Well, we are in mom's bedroom cuz some home repairs are going on today and we would get in the way. But we're all cozy and wish that Teri would come back to bed and snuggle with us, but she's off to visit a friend to celebrate her kitties 15th birthday! Maybe she'll nap with us later?

Teri didn't have time to take a picture of us today, so this nap-time photo is an old one of a pile-o-furrydance kittens from a couple of years ago!

This is Spot (you know, the faucet cat) curled up in the toy basket
in my bedroom. When I saw this basket at IKEA, I knew the cats
would like it and it makes a nice toy "box" too!

Easy like Sunday Morning

Teri's doing her nails, she said "in Cyberspace", so if you're so inclined, visit this site http://www.opi.com/ and pick Try-On This Color. Have fun!

We don't do our nails, but have other grooming to attend to this Sunday.
After Teri finishes her nails...we are hoping she'll say no baths today!

Easy like Sunday Morning

Well, Teri's not a football fan, so today on Super Bowl Sunday, we are hoping she fills up our Food Bowl with some special Tail Gate Party snacks! So, Teri's catching up with Blogs and laundry (oooh, that means piles of warm things to snuggle in!)

Well, one more kitten went to his new home yesterday, and we cats think the mommycats are glad, they didn't want to be bothered by silly kittens any longer. Jack went to live with a couple in Alabama with another Cornish Rex named Mr B and a dog named Tugboat. We had a nice visit, they took lots of pictures and then the beans went out to dinner at a yummy Thai place.

Teri talked to them last night and Jack was having fun running round the hotel room and playing with the toys Teri put in his Kitten Care Kit.

Luna and Madeline are still here, but Luna's family are coming for her next weekend and Madeline new owners are still making arrangements to come and get her. Luna is going to live with a Chihuahua and another girly cat and she is such a little Princess, Teri knows they will adore her! Maddie is going to be a showcat and a momcat in the future, and Teri hopes she will have a happy life with the breeder that her dad came from. When Maddie (oh her showcat name is Furrydance Newquay--named after a town in Cornwall where the surfers hang out) retires, Teri will get her back and that is a comfort to her.

Disco's doing good with his rehab and diet! Teri moved him from the stud room to the library room about 2 weeks ago and so far, no spraying. His all canned food diet is working! He's lost 12 ounces. He got very fat living in the stud room because he wasn't getting any exercise and went from 10.5# to 13.75#. That can be dangerous, because fat cats can get diabetes. It's also hard on their joints. But getting them to lose weight slowly is important too, so they don't get Hepatic Liver Disease (Fatty Liver Disease).

Toby, on the other hand, has sprayed by the bedroom door a few times. He's in the guest room with Silly, a young spayed girlcat, for his companion. Teri forgot to put a Feliway Plug-In in his room, so added that today and we'll see if that helps. In Toby's defense, both momcats have been in heat and yelling outside his door, so that might be part of the reason.

If the Feliway doesn't help, then next step is to try him on some anxiety medication. His family (our petsitters) visit him every couple of weeks and they say he looks happy and relaxed, not as anxious as when he lived with them and was such a bad boy. Teri thinks he is re-homeable, it will just have to be a quiet, sedate household for him to be happy he said.

Someone is interested in adopting Silly and Teri's getting to know her and is going to visit her place next weekend to see help her cat-proof it and see if she is comfortable with her adopting Silly. This lady, her name is Tango, is a little younger than Teri, has no other pets, travels a lot to car shows where she shows her Scion Xb, so she wants to be able to take her kitty with her. We think Silly would like that, though it makes Teri a little nervous she might escape and get lost. But heck, some of us go out to cat shows and that's sort of the same thing.

Her lifestyle is different than ours, and her home is a travel trailer, but like Teri told her...she has sent kitties off to homes that seemed perfect-family, nice house etc, and then had things fall apart when they get divorced. The only cat she lost track of was in that circumstance and that saddens her. So, we'll keep an open mind and think that we will give Tango a chance to have this sweet little kitty in her life.

Coco'a got a busy week ahead, meeting with her cabinet, getting briefed on world mews, and planning her wardrobe for the next week. She'll be posting photos of the Inaugural Ball preparations soon. She hired a personal assistant (Kiki) to help organize her closet (the purple storage box) and will be going to her hairstylist, Daisy, who knows how to make curls look their best!

Well, after all that news, here's a photo of an easy Sunday morning...
