Merry Mancat Monday

Sometimes when I know I'll be away, I will post in advance and while I am not going away, my computer is for a few days (to get cleaned up and upgraded thanks to the computer whiz that is adopting Fifi!) and while I'll still have my laptop, I haven't downloaded my photo download programs to it yet and I didn't want to wait to post the pix I took this weekend!

I spent all weekend up in the attic, getting down the Christmas decorations (and hate to think I have to do the same thing in a few weeks--in reverse), but it was cold and windy outside and a good weekend to stay inside! But even though the house still looks a bit like the cats threw a House Trashin' party cuz of all the boxes and paper everywhere...it's coming together...

The first two years after Mike died, I just was too sad to be festive. And last year I made a little effort--a string of lights in the window and a wreath on the table in lieu of a tree...but this year I thought, if I don't do it for myself, where is the joy in that? And I promised Gracie I would go through my ornaments and set some aside to put in Brighton's auction, too. So that's incentive, right?!

In fact, the pink bed in that first photo (the one that Disco is trying to fit his 15# butt into)...that is going in the auction and as I set it on the floor to take a picture of it...well, the cats all came to investigate, so it's umm, gently used but I will put it in the washer tonight and then put it out of sight...or this might happen again, hahameow!

  3. We love that bed! All your decorations look wonderful.

The holidays are not a happy time for many people...the mom struggled for a long time after her divorce, because she has no family here and it's hard to be alone at Christmas. But it seems to get easier every year and we wish your mom universal Blessings and Peace this season.

  6. I love all your decorations and that pink cat bed - so cute. You're right, you need to make yourself happy and decorate for you and the kitties. If they're like mine, they live for the new stuff all around that they can get into.
