Happy Mew Year!

Wishing all our bloggie friends Happy New Year
May all your days in 2013 be filled with purrs and not hisses!

How did all of our friends ring in the New Year? We napped and got a treat of Tuna and Ice Cream (not on Disco's tummy diet) before Teri headed out for Chinese food and to go to the movies to see Cirque du Soleil. She stopped by a bar to make a toast at midnight with a few other stragglers and then came home to us, her BFF's!

Humans tend to start every new year with resolutions to do things they should have been doing all year long, hahameow! Eat healthier, lose weight, be a better person by the end of the year...

Us kitties just live day to day and don't even contemplate that we aren't perfect just as we are! Although, if we really put our kitty minds to it, we probably do with making a few resolutions, too...

Like not walking on Teri's eyelids when she is trying to catch 49 winks. Or to eat everything on our plate, because there are starving kitties somewhere out there. Teri said she'd like us to wipe our paws when we exit the litterbox so we don't track litter hither and yon, but that ain't gonna happen, hahameow!

Teri is so behind in blogging...so today, on the first day of 2013, she is starting out on the right paw by attending to our needs and our blog! No, she's not finishing up the Christmas cards that she didn't get around to sending out. No...not composing the Mewsletter that was also unwritten when she started mailing out cards but was promised by December 25th either.

She wasn't a complete failure with the holiday stuff though...She put up lights and the new 'yard ornaments' she got on sale---a cat and a mouse, how appropriate!

And she spent Christmas Day with a friend who has 2 of our extended family, too. She took some of our holiday fashions to dress them up and take pix, though we aren't sure they were too happy about that!

They had dinner from Boston Market and then went to the movies to see Sky Fall... Teri got a present and guess what, there was something for us on the box...look closely!

So...what else have we been up to as the year 2012 came to a close?

Well, we went to the Santa Paws Cat Show and wowed all the attendees with our stunning wardrobe! Coco attracted the most attention, so Disco and Brighton got to stay home on Sunday! Even Teri dressed up, hahameow! And right down the street from the cat show, there was a house that was dressed up too!

Teri went to see Neil Young in concert the night before the cat show, but she said she didn't have a 'hangover' like she would have in the old days, not even a 'contact high' of the Meowie Wowie kind!

Then we kept busy trying to meet the guests we had staying at our Furry Dance B & B for Cats. If we weren't trying to slip by Teri to investigate, the guests were peeking out to see what we were all about, hahameow. We never did get to meet, it's against the rules!

Teri said she's had lots of fun getting to know the kitty guests and each one of them gave the accomodations their Paw of Approval and none of them did any 'trashing' of their suites, either. Teri was pleasantly surprised that not even the wild threesome from Coffee, Cats n' Yarn used the bookshelves as a jungle gym, hahameow!

Teri and Carol went out in the wintery cold to look at some pretty Christmas lights during their weekend with us...

Of course, we had to sit for a Holiday Fashion Show so Teri could take some photos of us for an upcoming calendar she has planned. She shared them all on Facebook already, but for our friends who aren't on FB, here's the pix!

And while she rarely posts much on her human blog, Mewsings, Teri is also promising to post more than YouTube videos there in the coming year, as she has lots going on in her life, too...

There's a trip to Oregon in April to visit family, and BlogPaws in May and Bark World in August to have fun with our bloggie friends, as well as all the stuff going on at her day hunting place, The Cat Hospital of Fairfax.

We hope she keeps her paw to the grindstone and accomplishes all the things she says she wanted complete in 2012 ~ painting the bedroom, purging the junk that remains in the attic and basement and yes, losing 25#, too!

  3. Your human was busy over the holidays! And she did WAY better than my human as far as decorating - about all she did was hang a cheap bell wreath on the front door and annoy us cats with a "festive" plastic music box that played the Nutcracker Suite. I know I will see much of you kitties in 2013, and my human will see your human at BlogPaws!

  7. Love the photos in the sun! Only one of us has a r-e-s-o-l-u-t-i-o-n around here, and that's our goody-two girly sister Mewsette who promised not to knock Mama Bernadette's tools off the table when she's helping. We couldn't do that! Probably it's why we aren't on the table either.

Love the kitties in the sun!
