Celebrating Petfinder.com's 15th Birthday!

Help Petfinder.com celebrate their 15th birthday! This weekend, over 1,500 shelters and rescue groups are holding what just might be the largest adoption event in history! Over 17 million pets have been adopted through Petfinder since 1996 and their goal this weekend is to help 15,000 pets find homes this weekend.

Visit their
15th Birthday Page for more info, and locate a shelter or rescue group near you that is part of this celebration!

If you can't adopt, there are other ways you can help. You can Twitter and Facebook about an adoptable pet, or you can make a donation to the Petfinder Foundation and that will help support those pets waiting for their furrever home.

In keeping with the Curlz and Swirlz bent (crinkle, hahameow!), here are a Cornish Rex and a Sphynx I found on Petfinder.com...take a look! And if you like the antics of the naked and curly crew here, think about adopting one of these kidz!

Isis is a 4 years old Blue Point Cornish Rex who is spayed and current on all her shots. She was rescued from a local shelter out in the country The Cornish Rex has no hair except for down. Isis coat is extremely fine and soft to the touch. However, this light coat means that she is only suitable for indoor living. The Cornish Rex is referred to as the Greyhound of the cats, because of the sleek appearance and the galloping run characteristic of the breed. Isis likes to play fetch and is adventurous as well as very intelligent. She has adapted to her new foster home quickly. Isis is extremely curious and loves to explore her foster home and seeks out the company of her foster family and other foster pets. She is very loving and is very vocal. If you would like to meet Isis, please go to our website at www.lostpawsrescueoftexas.org and complete an on line application. Isis adoption fee is $200.

China was rescued from a hoarder/breeder. The vet guessed her to be around 1-3 years old. China loves to be pet and enjoys playing with toys on wands and laser pointers. She rolls all around on the floor and enjoys being pet, sitting on your lap and being cuddled. However, she isn't a fan of being carried around but tolerates it. China is FIV/FELV negative and up to date on shots. However, she does have feline herpes. China will be spayed prior to adoption. PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION: Breed experienced homes strongly preferred. China will ONLY BE PLACED locally (within a 1-hour driving distance of the Princeton, NJ area) and in a home with children older than 10 years old. If you would like to meet China, please go to our website at http://www.petrescueofmercer.org/adopt.asp and complete an online application.
