Wordless Wednesday? Contest Reminder-Pick a Kitty!

               

As you may know, one of us kitties (and Deesko, Disco's body double) will get to go with Teri to BlogPaws in Salt Lake City in June! Because she is flying there, unlike the first 2 Blog Paws pet blogging conferences where we all got to go cuz Teri was driving (well, Sammy didn't go cuz he's not crowd lovin' like we are), only one of us gets to Pawty On in SLC!

Teri is kind of nervous about leaving Brighton behind, as 2 years ago he almost went to the Bridge because of a urinary blockage (he has FIC). But he has been perfectly healthy since then, but traveling can be stressful, but then again, so can being left at home...what to do?

Our petsitter is great, in fact she is the LVT at Teri's day hunting place and she's a great nurse and checks on us twice a day when Teri goes away. Brighton does love to travel and everyone says he is soooo handsome and he does look cute in his Beach wear!

Teri knows Coco would 'Rock the Cat Walk' with her model looks and lots of lovely outfits, including her pink and her blue wigs.

And Teri knows she'd love being the center of attention and lots of one-on-one time with Teri without the 'boys' barging in!

Then there's Disco...everyone's favorite Big Boy! Teri knows he would attract the pawpawrazzi and has always been a gentleman at the previous Blog Paws.

And he's been working so hard to be able to fit into his Route 66 camp shirt again, too!

So, Teri thought she should have a contest and whoever gets the most votes...that is who she will take along to Blog Paws. To help entice visitors and garner votes, she has 3 $20 gift cards donated byMr. Chewy for our contest, for the winners to buy some stinky goodness or yummy treats from Mr Chewy!

Mancat Monday, err Tuesday--Disco's Diet

Disco lookin' pretty Disco in his (or Coco's) new Doggy Style hoodie!

You might have noticed that we skipped our weekly 'Disco's Diet' post on Monday, the 21st.

That was cuz Mr D unscrewed the lid of TomTom's food hopper and gorged on a medley of 'junk food' while Teri was off day hunting... 

(Ps: It really was Teri's fault about the lid not being screwed on tight...after all, we don't have thumbs!)

All it took was that 'A moment on the lips, forever on the hips' scenario...you get the picture! 

Well, it took Disco 2 weeks to lose the 5 ounces his trip through the smorgasbord packed on, 

so this week, Disco's weighin' in at 14 pounds, 6 ounces, so that's up 2 ounces from May 14th. 

You might have noticed that pix of Disco in the new hoodie looks suspiciously like he might just be at the vets! Yep...for only the 2nd time in Teri's whole lifetime of cats, she has a kitty with an abscess!

And yep, it's Disco! Last Thursday she noticed a bite mark on Disco's side--probably from Brighton, as they get into tussles sometime. It looked minor at the time and she didn't start him on antibiotics.

But by Saturday, it was puffy and infected, so she ran into work and got a long acting antibiotic injection and although it looked worse for a day, now the lump is firm and smaller and Dr E saw him today and said he doesn't need to undergo anesthesia and flushing as it's not fluid filled but a granuloma now. 

We hope Dr E is right...Disco has love handles, he doesn't need an extra lump! Fortunately, his fashionable hoodie covered up the bitey mark...doesn't look like much, does it? 

But without antibiotics, it would have turned into a full-fledged abscess (don't click on this link if you are squeamish, hahameow).

What are all of our friends up to on this long Memorial Day weekend?

Teri took a shower, and Coco did what she likes to do...hopped in the tub and licked up water droplets...

Disco played his new favorite game, Hide the Belly, hahahmeow!

While Disco always dashes out onto the deck off the kitchen, Coco NEVER goes out there, and was kind of frozen in place for this photo...which is good cuz Teri was kinda nervous...

Even the birdies aren't very active...

Neither is TomTom

Teri is staying inside, too, and going to try and catch up with paying bills, working on her budget binder,  starting to get the BlogPaws folder organized, and getting a post up on her human blog with the pix of her trip to Falling Water last weekend! Maybe she will BBQ a burger later (or going out for Jerk Wings and a Mojito...). Tomorrow, it's a movie and Thai food with a friend...

Oh, and don't forget to Hop! We will fit that in later, too!

Fashion Friday--Sew Doggy Style! And a Contest!

OK...we told you last Fashion Friday that we would model our new So-Dawggie-Stylin' Cat Walk fashions, and we hate to disappoint! 

 Fashionista Coco knows how to dress up (in pearls and faux fur) or dress down...but this fashion statement could take her anywhere from a night club to lounging on a yacht!

And Brighton, while he has been known to wear a tie from time to time,

is much more at ease in 'beach wear'...

And in his outfit, he is also being 'Green', as he is sporting a 'Upcycled T-Shirt Tank!

Thankful Thursday...

Fashion Friday!

...a Purriview of our new outfits, which Teri ordered from Sew Doggy Style's new store!

We can't wait for the man in the brown shorts to deliver them to us (well, Teri can't wait) because when someone we loves makes us something, it is even more special!

We met Erika and Sebastian at BlogPaws and have been fans ever since...

We thought their Project Runway was AbFab and wouldn't mind havin' a few knock offs of those outfits, too!

We really like their Upcycled Tees...

But since us cats don't look so hot in T's with sleeves, Teri got us a Tank top with a Beachy theme, and Brighton says 'The Dude' abides!

And either Coco or Disco would look pretty 'disco' wearing this leopard print hoodie!

When the package arrives, we will get some pix of us modeling them for next Fashion Friday!

Teri, she is thankful for the good mews that Hero and Clem are doing great in their new home! They now have free run of the house, aren't annoying the grannie cat much.

They will make their first trip to the beach house over Memorial Day! We hope we get some photos of them soon, but we are getting weekly updates that make Teri smile!

Mancat Monday, Disco's Diet

Well, Disco hit a plateau this week...stuck at 14# 5 oz, but that's ok! We just ordered another 2 bags of Young Again Zero Carb and we'll see what the next month brings, but we are sure he will be ready to put on those 'Board Shorts' by June.

Teri made a page for our blog, documenting Disco's Battle of the Bulge, but she hasn't had time to post pix and the posts we've done, sigh...

Here's a photo of Disco at 16# 3 oz and one of him today~quite the difference! We B Happurry about that!

We know that doesn't look like almost 2# lighter, but it is. He is more muscle than fat now! We think Lucky 13 might just be his Number! We think Disco just might be ready to be a 'Chippendale' cat by December, hahameow!
