Our 6th Awardie!
Last week, our kewl young furrend Hansel gave us an awardie, but Teri forgot to download it and then she couldn't remember who it came from either...so she sleuthed around today...starting at the end of the alphabet and luckily she came to us purrty fast as The World of Hansel was near the end of her bloglist!
We thank Hansel for thinking of Coco for this nice award, even though we don't like lemonade, we know Teri does (she says with a little Southern Comfort in it is even nicer!) MOL
Awards come with rules, so here they are:
The Lemonade Award is given to sites which the giver shows either great attitude and/or gratitude.
The rules for this award is:
1. Put the logo on your blog.
(We did)
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
(That was Hansel at The World of Hansel)
3. Nominate 10 other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on yours.
(We did, see below)
William of Mass Destruction
Two Sisters

The Cheezits, Colby and Cheddar
The Cats P
The Cat in the Clover
The Big Piney Woods Cats
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs
(Whew, now our work is done...it's naptime, again!)

Caturday Saturday
Ok...word spreads fast on little cat paws...Coco is expecting, yes we can!! Do I hear an Amen!
I took her into work when she was 21 days along, the best time to palpate for kittens.
My vet could feel 3 little grape-sized babies...her due date is April 15th.
She is a very good mamacat, having had three litters before and raising up 8 wonderful kittens. We are very excited, and all of them are already promised to anxiously awaiting homes!
thank you Zoolatry for the purrty "nursery" photo!

Frootbat Friday
Well, I just got this photo tonight from Tracy and Tracy, who adopted Billy Idol (one of my 2 Sphynx) in January...here's their email telling me how much they adore him...
I have some cute news. I came home this afternoon and caught Billy and Marilyn all curled up sleeping together. I couldn't wait to tell you.
Billy likes to groom Marilyn on her head. Marilyn just lays there and lets him. I think it relaxes her. They are playing together all the time now. Billy is finally taking an interest in her. He is still obsessed with his crinkle-ball though. The one of Billy in the chair is his sun spot. He likes to catch some rays during the day. Tracy has officially become a crazy cat lady. She has more photos of him on her desk at work than I do! (about 15) Not only that, but when she calls home, she wants to talk to Billy on the phone! I think she misses him more than she misses me.
Billy and Marilyn are both playing on the bed right now while I am typing. Chasing and hiding from each other. Whenever we go to my mom's for dinner, we bring Billy and Marilyn. He LOVES to go to my mom's. My mom spoils him with crinkle ball fetch. Plus, she has a nice fire going that he likes to lay in front of. Before we even get there, Mom has made a little bed in the chair in front of the fire for him to lay on. It's really funny.

Frootbat Friday
Well, here at Frooty Furrydance Cattery, Frootbats reign supreme, and I'm never at a loss to post an "earsome" photo!
But last week, Kristynn and Tommy, of Summerville, South Carolina, sent me some photos of their Furrydance Frootbat, saying "Please, let our Teddy (that's Furrydance Tater-Du) be a Frootbat Friday kitty.
Teddy is their first Cornish Rex, and they are on my waiting list to adopt a second one! Teddy also has a Catster page, if you want to see more of him! http://www.catster.com/cats/599694

Are we "Honestly Scrappy"?
The kitties and bunnies over at THE FLUFFIES have honored us with our 4th award. We just love this award icon, as it looks like a hard working human, letting us cats get in some naptime! We rarely get into scraps, but we are thinking this means we are tough cats with muscles, so we could rumble if we had to!
But Teri says it's an awardie just cuz we are such amazing cats and she is such an amazing storyteller that we have to brag about it! Ok, that sounds better than scrapping, anyway!
This award comes with some rules:
“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows who he or she is.
Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including ones who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends.
Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
List at least ten honest things about yourself, as well as an Honest Photo...Then, pass it on! “
Well, here's a brand new photo of Brighton, just honestly being himself:
And 10 honest things about ourselves...
1. We talk a lot, but only when we want something.
2. If you can't find us, look under a blanket.
3. We are very picky about our stinky goodness.
4. The bathroom faucet is our personal water fountain.
5. Our furs are the softest in all catdom.
6. We make thundering noise when we run.
7. We can leap small buildings in a single bound, just like Superman.
(well at least to the top of the refrigerator)
8. Our feet smell like Fritos, or mushrooms!
9. We like to amaze strangers by leaping onto their shoulders unexpectedly.
10. People think we look like dogs...Not! Well, maybe just a little...
And while we don't think these 7 kitties are victims at all, but honorees...here's who we want to pass on The Honest Scrap Award to:
LITTLE PIG PINK
WHIMPURRS WHIM
TWO SISTERS
THE MONKEYS
PEPPER CATS
MARLEY, REGGIE AND ME
FURRY PAWS
Easy Like Sunday Morning
It's Sunday but no sun in sight, so us cats are all napping under the blankets on the bed..
Well, we are in mom's bedroom cuz some home repairs are going on today and we would get in the way. But we're all cozy and wish that Teri would come back to bed and snuggle with us, but she's off to visit a friend to celebrate her kitties 15th birthday! Maybe she'll nap with us later?
Teri didn't have time to take a picture of us today, so this nap-time photo is an old one of a pile-o-furrydance kittens from a couple of years ago!

Saturday Caturday
We enjoyed watching Sir's cute kitten video on Tom and Tama-Chan's blog so much, that Teri decided to post one, too. She's not sure it was taken on a Saturday, but anytime we have kittens here at Furrydance, there's always lots of photo taking and film making when Teri is at home on the weekends! She doesn't know how to edit and just learned how to add sound, but it's on her list of things to learn...but it's a long list!

Our friend, Little Pink Pig...
So us Furrydance cats are asking you to think of him lotsa times today, sending healing thoughts his way so he will be safe and that all these tests will let his mom find out what's wrong inside and how to take care of him so he can stick around and bug Grover and make his mommy laugh!
Ps: The Little Pink Pig isn't really a pig...but a cute Sphynx kitty...visit his blog (oh, he shares it with Grover, too) and say "Get Well Soon", okay?!
Little Pink Pig
Frootbat Friday
Teri needs to get around to writing a newsy post,
as lots is happenin' round the Furrydance household,
but til then...here's more ears!
If you click on the picture, you can biggify it
and the tall kitty standing is Coco's mother, Kely.
She was born with a little "ruffle" on the edge
of her ear, and it looks like someone nibbled on it!

Sam the Man Cat Monday...
Say No More...wink, wink (that's British, mate)
You might wonder what Mr Sammy Stud Cat is wearing...why, they are Stud Pants!
He wears them so he can come out and socialize with the other Furrydance cats, and can't spray and mark his territory while he is wearing them!
You would think he would mind, wearing kitty depends, but he really doesn't, though he does walk a little funny when he wears them...
Springtime Gardeners--Cocoa Mulch is poisonous to pets!
A doting owner of a young lab mix purchased Cocoa Mulch from Target to use in their garden. They loved the way it smelled and it was advertised to keep cats away from their garden. Their dog decided the mulch smelled good enough to eat and ate a large helping. She vomited a few times, but wasn't acting lethargic in any way.
The next day, the owner woke up and took her morning walk. Half way through the walk, she had a seizure and died instantly.
Although the mulch had NO warnings printed on the label, upon further investigation on the company's website, this product is HIGHLY toxic to dogs and cats . Cocoa Mulch, manufactured by Hershey's and they claim that 'It is true that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch can suffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual dog). However, 98% of all dogs won't eat it.'
This Snopes site gives the following information:
Snopes.com-Cocoa Mulch
Cocoa Mulch , which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other Garden supply stores , contains a lethal ingredient called ' Theobromine'. It is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts dogs. They will ingest this stuff and die. Several deaths already occurred in the last 2-3 weeks. Theobromine is in all chocolate, especially dark or baker's chocolate which is toxic to dogs. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of th eobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later. Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed the presence of lethal amounts of theobromine.

This is Spot (you know, the faucet cat) curled up in the toy basket
in my bedroom. When I saw this basket at IKEA, I knew the cats
would like it and it makes a nice toy "box" too!

Caturday Saturday
These photos weren't taken on a Saturday, but last Monday after the snow! This is Furrydance Duncan of Cavaliercats, who lives with a lovely couple in Maryland. I was a bit anxious when I saw he didn't have a leash and harness on, but I don't think he would have run...CRex like their heated beds too much!

ManCats Monday
Just got this photo from the Campbell family in North Carolina and since Dianne called this photo The 3Rex-a-teers...thought it would make a great 3 ManCats Monday! Pasha is the Senior ManCat, and the two Furrydance boys, Percy and Brinkley, are young Mancats (in training?)
