Good Mews! Just like Spottie and Dottie a month ago, lil Fifi had to visit the vet a couple of times to get her through the vomiting episodes and get her back to eating and ummm, pooping normally.
She never did get lethargic and continued playing with Spot and Dot, who tried to keep her entertained since I was separating her from her mom so she wouldn't nurse. Oh, she snuck in a suckle or two but I wanted her tummy to heal without having to digest mothers milk, too.
After seeing the vet on Friday, she vomited during the night one time, same curdled milk, so that's when I separated her from Kiki. There was no more vomiting all day and she was eating the Rx bland diet some on her own and some with me syringe feeding her.
But then during the night on Saturday, she vomited twice. The first time it was food (no milk...) and the 2nd time just foamy stuff. So back into work on Sunday morning. So much for my 'days off'...but I did not begrudge driving the 45 minutes each way as I am so fortunate my vet who I work for, would also come in on her day off to see Fifi, too.
Dr E added a pain med, and gave another nausea inj and some more fluids under the skin, but her exam was pretty unremarkable overall. Sunday she ate well and no more vomiting, but I decided to take her in to work with me on Monday and Tuesday just to keep a close eye on her and monitor her intake (and outpoop, hahameow).
Today, she is a home...probably napping and wrassling with Spot and Dot (no mamas allowed) and tonight I will try letting everyone sleep with me and hopefully Fifi will be ok going back to nursing again.
